Nino Toradze

President of Toradze Foundation

As daughter and sister, I was privileged to be raised in a household brimming with music, theatrics, challenge, and full of love. As a young girl, without the obvious talents of my family, I often found myself as the spectator, finally observing how raw talent is insufficient. Talent needs an inspirational environment and continued nourishment. If the foundation can provide just a taste of this environment our establishment can be classed as a success.

From an operations perspective the foundation will identify and support Georgia’s youth with an unquenchable thirst for music – composers, instrumentalists, singers, and conductors. Auditions will be held throughout the country and selected individuals will be supported, financially and personally, throughout the full degree programme at the Tbilisi Conservatoire. In addition, foundation supported individuals will be encouraged to participate in the annual Toradze International Music Festival (TIMF).

The TIMF will coalesce the world’s leading artists, artist managers, event managers and journalists, ensuring foundation participants are exposed and have access to the full workings of the music industry, and its many genres.

The Foundation has long been a goal of my family and the topic of many animated conversations with my late beloved brother. The fact the Foundation now exists is, without doubt, a dream come true and only possible due to the emotional, practical and financial support of the Foundation’s patrons, partners, participants and friends.

To all of you, I thank you with all my heart.

Edisher Savitski

Artistic Director

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the second edition of Toradze International Music Festival, inspired by the legacies of my dear mentor, Alexander “Lexo” Toradze and his father the composer David Toradze.

It is a great honor to serve as the festival’s Artistic Director. We are truly humbled with tremendous success from inaugural festival. What at first seemed an overwhelming challenge has now become reality due to the many artists who enthusiastically stepped forward offering their time, talent, and financial support.

The festival’s goal, through concerts, master classes and lectures by world-renown artists and music professionals is to inspire and cultivate young talented musicians from around the world to fulfil their potential.

Our logo (the ‘accolade’) symbolizing connection and unification, perfectly represents the core nature of Lexo & David and the unrivalled power of music in bridging perspectives and helping to forge a more peaceful world.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone supporting our festival. We are committed to serve a cause that is beneficial to all admirers of music and art in general.

Tika Rukhadze

Director General

I am honored to extend my warmest greetings to you on behalf of the Toradze International Music Festival team.

The Toradze family has made an enduring impact on modern Georgian art. Alongside this, the educational influence of David and Lexo Toradze in shaping the careers of numerous young musicians is profound. David Toradze, not only an exceptional composer but also a dedicated teacher, placed great importance on education throughout his life. Years after, Aleksander ``Lexo`` Toradze, who become a brilliant musician, prioritized teaching above all else following in his father's footsteps. They have nurtured many young musicians, instilling in them an unconditional love for music and aiding in their professional development and success.

The Toradze Foundation is grounded in the rich heritage of their family. ``Toradzes for the future`` is the guiding principle by which we operate. All our initiatives aim to create opportunities for young people to acquire professional skills and high-level education. We believe that these young people will indeed return to their homeland and contribute to the development of Georgian culture.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia, and Georgian Chanting Foundation the co-founders of the festival, as well as Tbilisi City Hall for their invaluable support. Furthermore, I would like to acknowledge the patronage of the festival by world-class musicians, Mr. Gianandrea Noseda and Maxim Vengerov.

Finally, I would like to express our gratitude to the festival’s board of directors, partners, donors, and supporters, without whom we would not have been able to organize such a magnificent event.
