Sophio Apkhazava-Sharashenidze is a concertmaster at the G.Kancheli Tbilisi Youth Orchestra and is also a member of the National Symphony Orchestra. From 2017 to 2023, she served as a cellist at Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Orchestra. She actively collaborates with Soulscoup, an informal children’s education studio, and leads the educational workshops.

She has participated in masterclasses with several musicians, including Filipe Quaresma, Pavlo de Navera, and Moises Molina. In 2022, she participated in a competition named after Marina Iashvili.

Born in 1995 in Tbilisi, she began playing the cello at the age of 5. She graduated from E. Mikeladze’s 9th Music School and is currently a student at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, studying under the guidance of Tamara Gabarashvili.
