About

Irakli Gogiberidze was born on January 31, 2003. At the age of 7, he was admitted to the G. Bzvaneli Music School in Vani, where he studied for seven years in the class of teacher Marine Lortkipanidze. He then continued his studies at the Music Seminar affiliated with the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, in the class of Professor Lali Sanikidze.

In 2021, he was admitted to the Faculty of Piano at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, also under the guidance of Professor Lali Sanikidze. Irakli has successfully participated in various international festivals and competitions, including the Toradze Festival in 2024, where he took part in a masterclass with Vakhtang Kodanashvili and became one of the scholarship recipients. He also participated in the Artpiano International Festival and Competition in 2022, where he won First Prize, which led to a successful solo concert at the 2023 edition of the same festival.

In 2025, he took part in a successful masterclass with Eliso Virsaladze as part of the “Telavi International Music Festival.” He has also performed in masterclasses with Pavel Nersessian and Dina Yoffe. Irakli is the Second Prize winner of the 2022 Tengiz Amirejibi International Competition. In 2021, he won First Prize and a Special Prize for the best performance of a work by Babajanyan at the Arno Babajanyan International Competition.

That same year, he also won First Prize and a Special Prize for the best performance of a work by Taktakishvili at the Otar Taktakishvili International Competition. For his successful academic progress at the Conservatoire, he was awarded the Zakaria Paliashvili State Scholarship twice. He is currently in his fourth year of the bachelor’s program at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, in the class of Professor Lali Sanikidze.
