Lela Mtchedlidze (*1973) is one of the most prominent Georgian violinists of her generation. She is a Soloist and Principal Concertmaster of Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre (2004-to present) , founder and director of Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theater chamber orchestra “Opera Camerata ” (2019-to-present), Concertmaster of chamber orchestra Concertino Tbilisi (1995-to present), a representative of Georgia in the World Orchestra for Peace WOP – UNESCO Artist for Peace ,founded by great Maestro Sir George Solti (2003-to present), a member of contemporary music ensemble Georgia Modern (2017 -to present), Associated Professor (violin) at the V.Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire.

Lela graduated from V.Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire in 1996, and finished her Post Graduate Studies in 1998, having already won Prizes at various national competitions, among others – City and Republic Competitions of Soloists and S.Tsintsadze Chamber Music Competition.

Lela Mtchedlidze is often invited as a solo, ensemble, and orchestra performer to various national and international festivals,concert series, tv programs and other cultural events, be it BBC Proms, St. Petersburg White Nights, Salzburg Festival,Abu Dhabi festival,Al Bustan Festival, Night Serenades, Telavi international music, Bidzina Kvernadze international, Tagliacozzo,Puccini, Verdi and Ascoli Piceno festivals etc. She performed in the most prestigious concert halls worldwide – Royal Albert Hall London, Berwaldhallen Stockholm,Chicago Symphony Centre, Carnegie Hall New York,Berlin Philharmonie, Rotterdam Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Bozar Brussels, Mariinsky Theater St. Petersburg, Bunka Kaikan Tokyo, Bergen Grieghalle,Dubai Opera Theatre,Muscat Opera Theatre and etc. – under the baton of such prominent conductors as Kent Nagano,Gianandrea Noseda, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Oren, Donald Runnicles,Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Giacomo Sagripanti, Liana Isakadze, and others.

She was invited for master classes in worldwide famous music universities such as Sibelius Academy (Helsinki) -2022 , Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (Glasgow) -2023 and etc.

Lela Mtchedlidze is a co-founder and a member of ensemble Amplitudes (2022 up today). She is also one of the founders of NNLE (Tonica Art Space)

Lela Mtchedlidze was representativ of Georgia in World orchestra for Peace while this orchestra has performed the World Premier of famous composer Karl Jenkins “One World”. The recording of this masterpiece was recorded in DECCA record in Hannover and performed in Linz, Austria 2024.
