About

Nika Nikvashvili is a composer, conductor, pianist, and master arranger, born on November 19, 1986, in Tbilisi, Georgia.

He received his formal musical education in Georgia. In 2006, he graduated from Zakaria Paliashvili Music School in Tbilisi, specializing in choral conducting. He continued his studies at the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire, graduating from the Composition Faculty in 2010 (class of Bidzina Kvernadze).

Between 2010 and 2014, Nikvashvili lived and worked in Moscow, where he participated in numerous significant musical projects. In 2014, he moved to Paris to continue his studies at the Paris Conservatoire. He completed his composition studies under Professor Michel Merlet in 2016 and studied orchestration with Professor Anthony Girard, graduating in 2017. In 2021, he also completed the CCR program under Professor Jean-Luc Hervé.

Nikvashvili is the author of a wide range of musical works, including compositions for piano, choir, chamber ensembles, symphony orchestra, as well as film music.

In recent years, he has been actively performing as a pianist, composer, and arranger, leading various concerts and musical projects in Georgia and across Europe, and collaborating with distinguished musicians worldwide.

In 2021, he founded the Bidzina Kvernadze International Music Festival, where he serves as both director and artistic director.
